The Legislative Response Project seeks to seed and drive counter-terrorism legislation by identifying global best practices. Terrorist organizations cannot be effectively fought without specific counter-terrorism legislation. As most countries lack appropriate counter-terrorism legislation, ICPVTR has developed a comprehensive database of such legislation worldwide. The Centre has collected and analyzed counter-terrorism legislation, and has also assisted in dissemination of its findings to governments and legislators through training and other means. The Centre is also assisting the ASEAN Secretariat in developing a regional convention in counter-terrorism.
