The Educational Response Project has surveyed several Islamic schools in various Asian countries to determine the nature and scale of their terrorist/extremist infiltration. This project determines the extent of penetration of the Islamic schools, the relationship between extremism and militancy within schools, and the effectiveness of state responses to the same. Drawing from global best practices in madrasa management, ICPVTR has proposed guidelines for self-regulation as well as procedures for management of Islamic religious schools. The project will also expand its focus to study asatizahs at Islamic schools primarily, to ascertain the extent of influence of radical asatizahs over the students.
