ICPVTR strategic projects deal with long-term non-kinetic responses to political violence and extremism and terrorism. These strategies seek to drain the swamp that breeds terrorists, at the same time attempting to win the hearts and the minds of the community. ICPVTR projects focus on terrorist ideology, motivation and recruitment patterns and the underlying conditions and support structures that enable the terrorist groups to mobilize and strike. Using these strategies, it would be possible to mitigate the grievances, and to create an environment, which is hostile to the terrorist groups to operate and conduct attacks, and unfriendly to terrorist supporters and sympathizers.
