A Trust-Based Partnership |
The Consortium for Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CCFT) is a public and private sector partnership, open to government institutions, the financial industry, the research community, and other interested parties. The CCFT is an autonomous institution endorsed by the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, the Association of Banks in Singapore, and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore.
At FSTC's heart are the world's leading financial institutions and the technology and service providers they use. Our subject matters experts comprise the leading technologists and business strategists of the financial services industry. Our project teams are staffed by industry-acknowledged thought leaders who provide trusted expert direction to FSTC investigations. Our staff and oversight groups assure outstanding service to FSTC's members. Our results are authoritative and relied upon by institutions, technology firms, and regulators.
Financial institutions established FSTC in 1993 as the industry's original forum for collaboration on technical issues affecting the financial services industry. Consortium Launched To Halt Militants’ Fund Access
Abstract: RSIonline (14 Feb 08) reported that a consortium was launched in Singapore on Tuesday to halt terrorists’ access to funds, which could potentially reach up to $3 million US dollars a month. The consortium was jointly launched by the Association of Banks in Singapore, the Singapore government and RSIS.
