Group Name |
Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) |
Political Objective |
The stated objective of the Maoist Communist Center (MCC) was to establish a 'people's government' through 'people's war'. The group based its ideology and tactics on Mao Tse Tung's principle of organized peasant insurrection. The MCC ceased to exist with the formation of the Communist Party of India-Maoist. However, the goals of the former PWG are very similar to that of the CPI-M. The CPI-M's current goal is to establish a "Compact Revolutionary Zone," an area of control that would extend from the Nepalese border to Andhra Pradesh in the south. Eventually this zone would be converted in to an independent communist state. |
