The Islamic Army of Aden (IAA) is committed to overthrowing the Yemeni government, which it asserted was not implementing syriah law properly, and establishing an Islamic state in the country. It also seeks to remove all Western interests from Yemen and the wider Middle East. Currently, the group is an affiliate of Al-Qaeda, and therefore shares its radical ideology and the objective of war against the West. |
