Al Qaeda (AQ)

Al Qaeda was established August 18th 1988 in Peshawar in Pakistan. It was established as an organized Islamic faction with the aim of training mujahidin, who could later be recruited into the group and serve Muslims all over the world. However after the entrance of Western and particularly military forces from the United States of America (us) into the Arabian Peninsula, Osama Bin Laden started to advocate attacking U.S. interests This was most explicitly seen in his declaration from 23rd August 1996 and secondly from his more declaration of total war against Jews and Crusaders on 22nd February 1998. Osama Bin Laden saw the U.S. as the head-of-the-snake, with the corrupt and apostate regimes in the Muslim world forming the main body. By unifying the resources of the various militant Jihadi groups, Osama Bin Laden believed that he could defeat the U.S. as he had previously defeated another superpower, namely the Soviet Union. Once the United States was defeated and driven from the Muslim world, Muslims would be released from their coercion and free to topple their weak apostate governments.
